Part of a series called, "If She Had...", Held In Her Gaze represents the power of being fully seen. Bathed in a golden light, mother and child lock eyes in a moment of tenderness and intention. Her hands cradle her face ever so gently to cherish. 
I painted this piece for the longing to be known deeply and loved without distraction. A portrait of intimacy, attention and unconditional love.
