Part of a series called: "If She Had", Where I could Rest captures the sacredness of feeling safe enough to rest. Surrounded by deep blue, symbolizing the vastness of the world, the mother becomes shelter. In her arms, the child sleeps without fear, fully surrendered to protection. 
I created this as an offering to the part of me that longed for safety without condition. It is a portrait of rest, of covering, of love that allows you to exhale.
